What type of power does the APU generator supply?

It acts as an auxilliary AC power source

The APU, on the ground, will automatically shutdown. The battery switch must be ON for APU operations.

The APU switches off if APU bleed valve has not been opened.
If the bleed valve has been opened, it will cool down for 90 seconds before shutting down. |

Extended life of the APU FCU can be achieved by operating at least 1 fuel pump to supply fuel under pressure to the APU.

FAULT LIGHT indicates:
- a malfunction exisits and the APU is automatically shutting down - remains illuminated if fuel valve has failed or OVERSPEED protection is lost |

Yes the APU can run multiple generators both in flight and on the ground.
