When a light is shone into one eye, the pupil constricts; contralateral eye has the same response. Also known as the photopupillary reflex.
What is refraction?
The bending of light rays to allow us to focus on an image.

Converging on the medial plane using the medial rectus.

Constriction of pupils to cut down on excess light. Circular muscle.

Accomodation of the lense. Changes the shape more round for near and flatter for distance.
