The famous role model has won many awards including two NAACP Image Awards in the outstanding literary work category, achieved many goals by becoming an activists, and left many marks on the world in her various poems, stories, and biographies. The poem speaks to us about what it is like to gnaw at the unsaid conversations that still rattle on in our minds years after the physical departure, or to wish we had said something different than what we last said to them. It speaks to the intensity of a memory of loss, a sharpened cluster of images and sounds and smells.
Touched By An Angel is another poem written by Maya Angelou that has a theme unrelated to racial segregation. The poem as a whole is a beautiful testimony to the power of love. Angelou is able to broadcast her message to the world about how important our humanity is(Pretzi.com). It incorporates many stanzas about the similarities and differences between people. It describes how we are all so different, and how we are so much alike. I note the obvious differences in the human family. Some of us are serious, some thrive on comedy.
The main theme of this poem is that each one of us belonging to the "Human family" is unique. With one 's own appearance, personality and way of thinking. There are no two persons who are really the same. She uses imagery as if we are all different leaves from the same tree. She used this poem as a way to make each and everyone of its readers feel special and and did an amazing job in doing so.

She had a very difficult and poor childhood, yet still grew up to be one of most successful poets of all time. Indeed, Maya Angelou could be as simple as writing a short quote and still manage to speak a lifetime through her words. She wrote a story that will never be forgotten and continues to do so from what she has left behind. She may be physically gone, but never in
