One in ten people lack access to safe water. Most countries, regions, and communities are running out of water entirely such as China, India, Africa, Australia, Ukraine and California. Water is fundamental to life because unsafe water leads to diseases, deaths, miscarriages, malnutrition and so on. To ensure that every person and ecosystem have enough fresh water will require a combination of water conservation and desalination technologies. However, this problem can be easily addressed with the RainMaker desalination. The RainMaker is a desalination unit designed to turn unusable seawater or polluted water into fresh water within a matter of minutes. The RainMaker can provide thousands of gallons of water an hour, which can be used to supply millions of people around the globe.
Water crisis is a number one global risk. There are many factors that cause water to become a scarce resource. Water shortages are caused by climate change, for instance, weather patterns, including droughts or floods, increased pollution, high human demand for water and overuse of water. As mentioned by the World Bank and World Health Organization, two billion people lack access to clean water and one billion people do not have enough water to meet their daily needs such as the need for water in toilets; which results in deadly diseases such as Diarrhea, Malaria, Lymphatic filariasis and Trachoma and so forth (World Health Organization).
