Have you ever wondered how a human being has it in him to kill another of his type? Believe it or not there are cruel people out there just like that. People that don’t care who they hurt or what the consequence is, but the benefit they get from it. The great author Truman Capote wrote a non-fictional novel about a great mass murder of his time. The novel that was later made into a movie was called “In Cold Blood”. It is a novel packed with suspense,empathy, and an insight on American violence. The novel will take you back through a the story of the murder and the investigation and execution of the killers. It introduces you to all four of the victims, the killers,and investigators of Holcomb,Kansas. the narrator of the novel Truman Capote explains the moments before the tragedy and the long journey after the investigation. Truman Capote, an incredible writer that in his later years became engulfed in journalism around the same time he came out with “In Cold Blood”.Capote was born on September 30,1924 in New Orleans. His father originally named him Truman Streckfus Persons, he however later changed his name to Truman Capote.Truman was not very interested in school as a teenager, and dropped out of highschool at the age of 17. He later returned however to complete his senior year.He wanted to work in The New York times no one however was interested in his writing.
