Methodology
I made two surveys online using www.surveymonkey.com. The first survey had 5 questions with 45 responses. The second survey had 6 questions and 36 responses. I posted the first survey on Facebook at 8 am. I posted the second survey to Facebook as well, but this one was posted at 10:30 am. At around 5 pm, I closed both surveys and put the data into different graphs to compare certain items together. I asked questions about the crime rate today compared to 20 years ago. I also asked about their age, gender, religion, marital status, etc. My first survey was 66 percent Christian, 15 percent Catholic, 6 percent Protestant, and the rest did not practice a religion. These data also shows that your age effects what you think about crime rates. The younger you are the more accurate you are. Most of the people that were surveyed believed that there was more violent crime today than in 1995. When in reality, the number of crimes that were reported has been decreasing. The same trend was recorded for the drug crimes. People thought that they was more drug related crime today than there was twenty years ago, which is opposite of what is actually
