Considering the rise in elderly attacks and the failure of the justice system to protect elder from crimes, most cases are never prosecuted, and the police uses caution as a cheap easy way of avoiding the time and cost of prosecution, this approach endangers the safety and security of the elderly. The attitude of society and the justice system encourages offenders to continuously carrying out attacks on senior citizens, and deliberately abuse elderly people in their home and communities.
The authorities have to put in place legal guidelines - by introducing a law that will force attackers to refrain from such crime and also providing a good care and support for the elderly/adult in order to safeguard their
