In the work written by French political philosopher and economist Frederic Bastiat in 1850, he discusses the implications of when the law is used as a weapon to rule unjustly over the population. Bastiat mentions many ideas throughout the book to emphasize the effects of different types of issues caused in a society. One of the idea Bastiat coined in his book ¨The Law¨, was legalized plunder. The purpose of the law is to prevent actions that hurt individuals and their property. It should not be used to force people. As expected, PML won the election and Nawaz Sharif became Pakistan´s new Prime Minister. Many revolts were held but it did not affect Sharif due to his power of corruption. Then he started what is also known as legalized plunder by Bastiat. As Bastiat mentions “The law perverted! And the police powers of the state perverted along with it! The law, I say, not only turned from its proper purpose but made to follow an entirely contrary purpose! The law become the weapon of every kind of greed! Instead of checking crime, the law itself guilty of the evils it is supposed to punish!”, this was exactly the case in the country. When legalized plunder became a normal act, all powers including the police forces became corrupted and they started receiving bribery from people arrested for an illegal act. This caused major problems in the country like terrorism, target killing and crimes that became part of the normal day. The Prime Minister started looting the money of the government and bought properties in different countries and store the excessive money in
