Her passage captures the very essence of Get Out Before Saturday, and perhaps Donwood’s overall artistic purpose. Through underlying themes he attempts to make meaningful connections with his audience about technological impacts on the natural world. As a preface to the core of this paper I feel it is important to acknowledge Winterson’s writing, as it synthesizes the necessity to dig for deeper meaning. Before passing judgement on a piece, however, it is imperative that the viewer does their due diligence in understanding its intentions.
