Stella is aware of the fact that Stanley will misbehave and insult her sister in the process of reveling the truth of what really happened to Belle Reve. Unfortunately, Stella is also curious to find out the real truth therefore without any concern she leaves the house. Later on in the play, after Blanche reproaches Stanley of raping her, Stella says, “I couldn’t believe her story and go on living with Stanley” (133). This indicates that Stanley is more important to Stella than Blanche because she doesn’t accept Blanche’s claim which causes Blanche to become mentally ill. Stella is so passionate about her husband that she can't tolerate anyone spreading rumors about him so she agrees to send Blanche to a mental hospital.
