The overall topic of Steven Johnson’s talk, “The playful wonderland behind great inventions,” was connection.
The thesis for the talk was that everything that we enjoy today, has a connection to its origin. Johnson argues that inventions aren’t always designed for its intention. We often times end up with life changing inventions by something as simple as a flute made from animal bone.
