Nestle’s article explores the issues with the Food Bill, focusing on the environmental benefits of small farms and supporting their farmers. Sprigg’s similarly discusses the benefits of buying local. Buying local has several positive effects, including environmental and economic benefits, as well as better tasting food in general. Nestle considers small farms to be more environmentally friendly due to the lack of pesticides used on the crops, however, she does not consider the fact that corporation farms transport their food across the nation and the harmful effects that has on the environment.
