It includes numerous videos, graphics, and text to explain its information in a way to effectively help the audience comprehend it. One particular media element is a graphic detailing the layers of snow and ice that built up. Readers are able to visualize the causes of the avalanche after viewing this graphic. Descent Begins and Blur of White, sections 3 and 4, tell the stories of the 16 skiers journeys down the mountain, and their reactions to the avalanche.
