Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) was a British physicist who ideas and innovations helped him be viewed as one of the greatest physicist of all time. Though he had some great scientist to come before him (Archimedes or Galileo) it was Newton’s ideas that were deemed to exemplify the scientific method of inquiry that would be soon adopted throughout the science age. Aristotle’s theory of the physical universe was proven to be inadequate to describe the movement of nature, so Newton tried to come up with his own way of viewing this and eventually he produced the three rules about the movement of objects throughout nature. So, you would be trying to figure out, how much force is the man going to need to apply to the car to get it too move in his desired direction. In this case scenario, you would use the equation mass times acceleration (F = M*A) to figure out how much force would the man need to apply to the car to get it to go in the desired direction. When you substitute the equation for numbers you would have F = 1000 * 0.05 which would equal to 50 Newton’s. A main concept that needs to be understood in Newton’s second law of motion is net force. Newton’s third law means that every interaction that occurs, there is a pair of forces that act upon the two objects that are interacting witch each other. The force of the size of the first object will equal the size of the force on the second object. However, the direction of the first object’s forces will be opposite to the direction to the second objects force. For Newton’s third law, forces always come in pairs.
