The goal and purpose of this historical investigation/research is to try and answer the testable question “How far was the failure of the Russian army in the Russo-Japanese War responsible for the outbreak of the 1905 Russian Revolution?”. Most people didn’t feel very involved in the war, as most of the fighting was done on the very far eastern sides of the nation, far away from the dense population. This was critical as important news was slowly being communicated. This led the general public to not support the war, as there was little to no reasoning to why Russia was still fighting. The war became less popular and public opinion of the war drastically sank. Besides the fact that people were not in favor of war, the military was nowhere near strong or well equipped for the war. The government was not able to support the military, and showed failure leading people to side against the Tsar as his leadership. Many different political groups were ready to take place and eradicate their goals. Due to the fact that the Russo-Japanese War was not popular with the public, the political implications helped to cause the outbreak in 1905 with the people losing faith in the Tsarist government caused by the multiple failures to support the
