Rosa Parks was also one of the greatest civil rights leaders. The Montgomery Bus boycott was led by Martin Luther King Jr. The boycott insisted that African-Americans not ride the bus. On October 1, 1955, Rosa Parks was riding a segregated bus at that time. When sitting down a white man confronted Mrs. Parks. The white man told Mrs. Parks to get out but she did not budge. Eventually somebody called the cops. Rosa Parks was then fined and also put in jail.(2) Rosa Parks had a tough time on the Montgomery Bus.
