Gun violence and mass shootings have been growing in the United States. As mass shootings increase, the number of deaths from a gun increases too. Gun violence and mass shootings pose a real threat to the citizens of the United States. When the citizens walk through their building doors, many people wonder if their work or school area will be next. This should be something that no one should be worried about. Less people would be hurt and it would make more people feel at ease when going in crowded and public spaces. Most likely, it would make the people feel more safe if it was harder to get a gun when there are many bad things happening to them at the moment. Although many may think that this would interfere with their 2nd amendment rights, it is clear that it should be safe for everyone to go out and not have to be at a risk of dying with a gun. When gun laws are stronger, many mishaps, such as mass shootings, can be prevented. Firstly, stricter gun laws on who can acquire a gun could reduce the amount of mass shootings that occur. Secondly, if you prevent illegal gun trade, then that can lower the percentage of mass shootings. Lastly, some people might think that making gun laws stronger is against the Second Amendment, but if the citizens of the United States are at risk, their lives should come first.
