This disease was called the Black Death. This disease is estimated to have caused a total of 150 million deaths and was spread by rodents. They also killed an estimated 40 million people in battle including Genghis Khan’s blood brother by breaking his back.
Another reason why I believe they had a negative impact is because the way Genghis Khan would torture people to get what he wants. He would bury people alive face down into the dirt so they suffocate to death according to document 5. He would also line men up to shoot them with a bow. He would also hang people by vines and in trees. The final reason I think the mongolians had a negative impact on the world is the amount of pure brutality they used in battle and in everyday life. According to document 4 in one battle the mongols killed 1,747,000 people and over 50 years that will start to add up over a period of time. In the U.S. military there is only 670,000 deaths in battle which is still 670,000 too many but the mongolians have killed double that. When the mongolians capture a prisoner they have many different ways of killing them. One time they slit a man's whole back open and let him bleed out. This why I think the mongolians had a negative impact on the world because of death, torture and
