The man who she is with can barely get a few words in without her talking again. The woman also continually changes the subject from one topic to another. She asks questions that she answers as well. I also picked up that the woman says that she is manic, but that she is not crazy. This is interesting to note because she understands that she is being manic, but it appears that she does not understand the full effect of what is going on with herself. After seeing this video I compared it to Landrio’s video. The episode that the woman is having is exactly how Landrio describes it in his video but without speaking in it. The woman has several different topics that she is racing through in a short period of time. In the article by Inder et al. (2008) it stated that “Maintaining employment was often difficult since performance was affected by the illness and created problems with remaining on task.” This further explains how individuals with bipolar are effected not only in one aspect of their life but with many, such as maintaining a job. One example I read in Inder et al. (2008) is about a person struggling at work: “And then there would be times when I would just be, couldn’t sit still, like I’d be talking a mile a minute, doing things I shouldn’t do, organizing the office into this great new system but wouldn’t be getting the work
