When the Nazi party came into power with Hitler as their leader they blamed the Jewish people for Germany's economic issues following the Great Depression after WWI (Mensch, 2016). Secondly, the implementation of the Nuremberg laws played a big part as well. Nuremberg laws were seen as a way to protect the German blood by removing all rights from the Jews and making sure they could not be citizens. They were also forced to wear the star of David on their person so that they could be recognized as Jewish (My Jewish Learning, 2023). The events that took place in Germany caused the Holocaust because the beliefs of the Nazi party and the implementation of the Nuremberg laws made the Jews look at fault for all of Germany's problems, making them a target of blame and later being “dealt with” by millions of them. These people would most likely die soon after their arrival due to starvation, exhaustion or disease. But if they did survive, they would be shot and replaced with new arrivals. In the concentration camps or extermination camps people would be killed, many in gas chambers (Concentration Camps – the Holocaust Explained: Designed for Schools, 1920). Both of these examples show the brutality that took place during the Holocaust. The way the Jewish people were treated has resulted in many changes in the world. Effects The world was changed in a few ways due to The Holocaust, in particular, the holocaust changed the International laws and many survivors of the holocaust developed PTSD. The whole world looked at Germany in disgust because of their cruel actions towards the Jewish people. This brought changes to the international laws with crimes against humanity recognized into the laws. These laws aim to protect people/ citizens inside and out of war times. Another big impact was on the remaining population of the Jewish people. Many of them had experienced events of the Holocaust, whether it was in camps or in hiding. Many survivors have developed
