HIV/AIDS is a dangerous epidemic, threatening to human life, health, and the future generations of the country. It impacts strongly on the development of economic, cultural, social security, threatens the sustainable development of all countries in the world. Moreover, HIV/AIDS is spreading dramatically in all regions from urban to rural, from the mountains to the remote islands of the country as well as around the world. There is no medication that can cure HIV / AIDS at this time. So knowing how to protect yourself and for the community as well as advocacy for people with knowledge is considered as a vaccine to prevent HIV / AIDS today.
“HIV is a virus that gradually attacks the immune system, which is our body’s natural defense against illness. If a person becomes infected with HIV, they will find it harder to fight off infections and diseases. AIDS is a syndrome caused by the HIV virus. It is when a person’s immune system is too weak to fight off many infections, and develops when the HIV infection is very advanced. This is the last stage of HIV infection where the body can no longer defend itself and may develop various diseases, infections and if left untreated, death.”[1]
