In my opinion, I believe that Lombroso 's theory was better to understand than Sheldon 's theory. According to the book, it states, “Lombroso claimed that born criminals cannot be stopped from their natural tendencies to be antisocial. On the other hand, he claimed that, although it was their nature to commit crime, born criminals could be stopped, or at least partially deterred by society” (Tibbetts). I find this to be true because of the simple fact that born criminals can make a change towards their life, insteading of alwasy choosing to commit crimes. Committing a crime can become tiresome due to the fact that it doesn 't get you anywhere in life. Some born criminals receieved this type of label based on what form of environment they came from or their peers. The text says, “A young male with an athletic build would be encouraged to join sports teams and engage in high-risk behavior by peers" (Tibbetts, 2012). This is something that I don 't find true. More muscular, athletic individuals would be better at fighting and performing acts that require a certain degree of physical strength and stamina" (Tibbetts, 2012). Individuals who are mesomorph can find other things to do instead of causing harm to the world. Overall, Sheldon may possibly need to rethink on his theory and try and different method that would allow it to be more
