Use of latin indicates how important it is to understand that no matter who you are we all are born to die & should make the most of life & enjoy nature rather than obsessing over trends & other wasteful inventions. Throughout stanza one we are introduced to a satire on a gameshow ‘Bobby Dazzler,’ the word dazzler is defined to be showy & false, exactly what they are. This is a link to line seven through the phrase ‘then’ as it implies that later he will learn the negative aspects of consumerism & media. Stanza two focusses on conformity & the idea of everyone fitting into a certain stereotype. Use of hyphenated words such as ‘smoothly-run’ & well-equipped’ are all words of advertising & express the idea of a marketing driven society. Abrupt listing of rules in capitalisation in lines 16-20 all show the extent in which society has gone to , to rule out individuality and freedom of choice.
