One is ¨He clubbed him to the earth.¨ (69). If there is a murderer who will kill you and do it this brutally, then if this isn't threatening than I don't know what is. Another way it can be shown is ¨There lay his victim … incredibly mangled.¨ (69). Something had to have happened to this man and it must have been bad, and whatever did it must be very threatening. Lastly, ¨This intense cruelty; and one splintered half of a cane.¨ (69). That cane was left with the mangled body talked about earlier, and the cruelty of some people, for instance any tyrant of a nation, can be very threatening to any amounts of people.
