John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, is the tale of George and Lennie as migrant workers in California during the Great Depression. George, a slick, smart guy treats Lennie as his brother even though Lennie is a slow, challenging person to care for. George and Lennie are run out of Weed and find a farm where they spend the rest of the novel working at. George and Lennie are two polar opposites with many differences, but are the best of friends nonetheless.
George Milton is a tall, agile, handsome fellow who acts as a father throughout the novel. George acts as a father-figure throughout the novel to his pal Lennie. George shows his father-like ways at the stream when he reprimands Lennie for drinking from the dirty stream. George is well-rounded
