Maslow fully acknowledges the individual for the success of self-actualization. Conversely, Rogers does not only emphasizes the individual for self-actualization but he also adds that the environment is essential for growth especially through genuineness, empathy and unconditional positive regard of others towards the individual. Despite their similarities and differences is important to understand that both of these intellectual men developed great ideas and concepts that are of much importance in the world of psychology
