In the first Disney movie, Alice is a curious young seven year old girl who finds herself bored one day while getting distracted by a crisp white bunny with a watch glass wandering. As she makes her way through wonderland, she ends up waking up in her sister's lap, making it seem as if it was all a dream. In the Tim Burton movie Alice is a nineteen year old young woman who finds herself about to commit to a marriage she does not want. As she is finding a way to cope, she sees a white rabbit running around curious she follows it to a hole in which she falls through landing herself in wonderland. After all of her duties in wonderland are fulfilled, Alice is told to drink the blood of the now slayed jabberwocky to return home, in which she does so after reminding everyone she will be back. After she drinks the blood she is seen grasping on the edge of the hole to where she fell in. She climbs out and sets off back to her life. In the play, teenage Alice is having what everyone seems to call delusions and is seeked out for a procedure to forget about her delusions. While in the midst of her procedure she is drawn to a white rabbit running around, as she follows it she ends up in wonderland. After playing the queen in croquet, Alice is set to return home. Once she is back she finds herself awoken in a bed in the hospital. Alice then remembers the reason why she was there and swore to herself it was all a dream until she reached into her pocket and pulled out a trinket in which she received while in wonderland, leading her to the realization that it was not all just a dream but she taken away shortly after. Similarities on how Alice ends up in wonderland include, Alice always being brought to wonderland while following a white rabbit. She is also always seen leaving wonderland, even though it is in different ways she never stays there forever.
