Thailand has Buddhism like China has Confucianism. In Thai history, All the King of Thailand must be a Buddhist and the Upholder of Buddhism. For centuries Buddhism has established itself in Thailand and has improved the lives of the Thai in all their aspects. In fact, if Thailand without Buddhism, Thailand would not have high education today.

There are lots of differences between each student, so teachers treated them differently according to what they need to learn, in different ways for different environment of education of different students, and told her students, learning with question and debate. There are high expectations for the teacher in Buddhist education, have a noble sense of compassion, love their students, and don’t care for returns. Students must respect for teachers: in the temple, the teacher imparting knowledge to students, and students must take care of the teacher 's life.
Buddhism’s influence in education
The main current of the Thailand philosophy has been led by Buddhism. Its great influences have extended to almost every aspect in culture and daily life. The influence in education is especially clearly.

As a result, structured education on the lines of that was slow to evolve until Thailand has the bloodless revolution that transferred absolute power from the king to democratic government in 1932, encouraged further development and expansion of schools and tertiary institutions. The first National Education Scheme was introduced formally granting access to education regardless of ability, gender, and social background.
At the present, the Ministry of University Affairs is in charge of supervising and coordinating public and private higher educational institutions that offer programs leading to bachelor 's degree and higher level. There are totally 60 universities: 21 public universities (30 campuses), 37 private universities (39 campuses), and 2 autonomous universities. The two open-admission universities are included in the public universities. There are other ministries and agencies which also provide higher education for their specific needs.
