Throughout our presentation, one of our classmates mentioned that there are repetitive trials that always blocks Odysseus to his return. We see that his crew betray his words opened the windbag and lost their way home, they then went to a secret witch-goddess island and been trap over there. This may not have directly pointed to Odysseus fault, but his decision in staying with Circe for a year definitely includes his responsible of postponding the journey’s goal. We could define that he tries to refuse to return back to his ordinary life, he may fear of continuing to stepping further to experience the adventure that will rather threaten his life more.
