While not many ISP offer services in Sierra Vista, AZ, there are 2 top ISP’s we found were Cox Communications and Clark Information Technology Services. Cox varies in internet speeds and price from 5 Megabits per second (Mbps) for download and upload at $101.00 a month to up to 300 Mbps for downloads and 30 Mbps upload at $654.00. The services, pricing, and location that they offer Cox could not be beaten. DBS Enterprises expects connectivity for 13 spaces and also allow access for up to 50 people (Employees and Customers) with personal devices. With a size that big they must receive a speed where they can work under any conditions. A decent speed for this size will be about 6.4 Mbps according to ciinc.com. (ciinc.com) For that reason we decided to go with Cox Business Internet 100 which offers 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload. The price is $374.00 for 36 Month. This speed will be able to offer every employee and customer at least 6 Mbps to allow a seamless work environment even in the busiest conditions. Cox Communications works off a Coax Cable uses a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. Cox offers a modem rental at $4.99 a month with a $25.00 activation fee. We decided to buy a modem as the price would be cheap after the term of the deal. We decided to go with a Cisco DPC3010 DOCSIS 3.0 for $75.00 from Amazon.
