the name of the U.S led program in which top scientists such as Albert Einstein, and Robert Oppenheimer were working on the development of an atomic bomb.

Appeasement |
Prior to the Start of World War 2, Adolph Hitler showed many signs of aggression such as invading Czechoslovakia and breaking the Treaty of Versailles. France and Britain instead of pursuing war gave into Hitlers demand in order to create peace. This strategy worked...for a little while anyways. Many people believe the French and British should have stopped Hitler sooner.
