what is self-concept?
the perception of oneself as a person with desires, preferences, attributes, and abilities
What is identity?
a person's self-definition as a separate and distinct individual including behaviour, beliefs, and attitudes
what is social identity?
the part of an individual's self-concept whcih derives from his knowledge of his membership of a social group together with the value and emotional significant attached to that membership
what is a social clock?
the schedule by which individuals are presumed to complete the major tasks within the lifespan
What are the processes of Wernicke's area?
Process of speech and sound, comprehension of speech, interpreting meaning of words, creating new messages
What are the processes of Broca's area?
grammatical organization, sequences of movement necessary for speech
What are the processes of the speech motor area?
located in the fissure next to Broca's area, which controlls it; controls vocal cords, tongue, jaw, and lips
