The compromise was the Great Compromise (also called Connecticut Compromise), and it created a 2 House legislature, a senate, a House of Representatives. The senate had equal representation and was called the Upper House and House of Reps. was based on population and was called the Lower House. The Senate had a 6 year term and the House of Reps. had a 2 year term.
