Intern practice requirements
|
a. Must be in a licensed training area
b. Under direct supervision of a licensed preceptor c. One intern to one preceptor d. Professional Conduct a must e. Address and job changes (non college practice only) 10 days notice f. Cannot supervise a tech. Can do all other pharmacist duties. Cannot serve as a technician or clerk. g. Must wear intern badge h. Must identify self as intern on all incoming and outgoing phone calls. i. Can't work more than 40 hours (won't be counted) j. State Board phone number: 1-800-395-4378 k. You must make a request in writing to have your intern hours transferred to another Board of Pharmacy. |

DEA numbers

a. DEA number consists of two letters and 7 numbers
b. Add 1st, 3rd and 5th numbers together c. Add 2nd, 4th and 6th numbers together and multiply by 2 d. Add B to C and last digit of this sum will be the same digit of the 7th number if the DEA # is valid |
