- A study that looks at how peoples behaviours react in social interactions, based off that information it then uses it to better increase its effective management of behaviour in the workplace. - Studies on the individual group, and organization -Goes "beyond the common sense" |

Inputs -> Processes -> Outcomes Inputs: Personalities and diversity, will lead to how people will react Processes: processes are actions that people based on their personalities (inputs) Outcomes: Variables that are trying to be predicted, such as their model behaviour, and cohesion. |

Critique of OB |
-They are not conclusive, as there are only a Few universal principles in OB - Often dependant on the situation or context (contingency approach) |

The rigour of OB |
OB provides a systematic approach to the study of behaviours in organizations. They believe that behaviour isn't random, it stems from and is directed toward some end that the individual believes rightly or wrongly is in her or his best interest Systematic = Looking at relationships and looking at the cause and effects of said interactions |
