35 year old man comes to GP with red painful eye, have watery discharge from both eyes, it started from one eye and spread to another. Daughter also had red eye 2 weeks ago.

Viral conjunctivitis
Adenovirus Usually acute onset in one eye, contact history, preauricular lymphadenopathy Self limiting, cold compresses and tear supplements Resolve in 2-3 wks, Contagious in first 2. |

Bacterial conjunctivitis, treated with Chloramphenicol OR fucidic acid drops

Sub-conjunctival haemorrhage, usually spontaneous or associated with hypertension, coughing or straining. usually painless. Vision is normal.
No treatment requires, resolves in 2-3 weeks |
