Taken, typically followed by a prostaglandin. Patient returns in 48 hours for another dose if she has not yet passed the contents of the uterus. Another visit in 2 weeks to verify via ultrasound. |

Injection of hypertonic solutions of saline/urea into the uterus, which stops anything going on in there. Typically followed by prostaglandin to cause uterine contractions and expel contents. |
