How does cool jazz differ from bebop in terms of specific musical elements?

bebop is based on beats and rhythmic concepts. Cool jazz is more melodic, and has a more relaxed feel to it. Bebop is usually a fast tempo piece, with a very simple arrangement or no arrangement at all. Cool Jazz, is usually played a lot slower then Bebop, sounds very arranged.
