the idea that technology shapes our culture and creates the enviroment we live in.
What is Global Village(communication)?
the idea that information can travel around the world in the speed of light no matter where or how far the person is. It is as if you and the person are next to each other. (close by)

-the fact that noise/distraction may distort the info. being given.

- it explains an event or behavior
-has an explanatory function and uses cause&effect (can predict when something will happen again)
-is simple; avoids complexity
-can be tested & has a hypothesis (either right or wrong)
