Ida Nadi

River or channel from the base of the spine, that winds around criss-crossing the Sushumna like the DNA helix strands, and ending in the L nostril. The point where all 3 nadis intersect form nexus' called chakras.


Ida is associated with the feminine, cooling, moon energies.

Pingala Nadi

Pingala channel runs the same as for Ida, but winding the opposite side, ending in the R nostril. Associated with masculine, fiery, sun energies.

Klesha 4

Dvesa - aversion, pulling away, fear of pain (hatred?)

Chakra

I would say something along the lines of: Wonderful! I am so glad you are here - this is the best & most perfect day to start! Depending on situation I might ask, why today? Are there any injuries you are dealing with or recovering from? Are there any other forms of physical exercise you've done or are doing?


I would show them where to store their stuff, where the bathrooms are and walk them through finding their mat and props. Again depending on whether they are needing more or less attention, I might try to position them behind or next to an experienced student whom does not would be safe to watch
