Restraint

Hold patient in sternal recumbency. Open mouth by holding the maxilla and mandible. The hand with the mandible holds the tongue over the teeth. Lift head and extend neck for intubator

Extubation

Once the patient has swallowed 3 times gently pull the tube down and out of the mouth.make sure the cuff is deflated

Induction

Anesthesia is induced with an IV injection

ET Intubation

Tube must be secured. Should be tied into place before inflating the cuff.
