CPR- There are many ways to perform CPR, these include regular CPR on an adult,Heimlich maneuver, and an Automated External Defibrillator. To perform CPR on an adult you must first shake the patient and speak loudly to see if he/she is responds in any way. If they do not you must then proceed to perform CPR. If this patient is not breathing normally, coughing, or moving begin chest compressions. To do this you must use the palm of you hand to push down hard in the center of the chest. Pump hard about 2 inches 30 times. After the chest compressions proceed to tilt head back and lift the chin, then pinch the nose with one hand and cove the mouth the other. Give two long breaths to the patient, then proceed with more chest compressions. …show more content…

With your dominant hand form a fist, the thumb of this fist should point into the fist. Place this hand just above the belly button, then place the hand firmly around the fist. Then perform abdominal thrusts, to do this you must just deliver upward squeeze-thrusts onto the abdomen. Do this until it becomes effective or if they lose consciousness then you wait for help to arrive.

An automated external defibrillator is a shock that is delivered to the heart. It is made to be used in life threatening situations such as arrhythmia or cardiac arrest.
