Macrophages(big eaters)

Monocytes turn into macrophages! Encounter foreign material, grab it and slowly engulf it(releasing cytokines)

Helper T Cells(mature in Thymus)

Recognize antigens on macrophages. They then activate B cells.

B Cells(mature in Bone Marrow)

Bind to a single antigen.


Engulfs the antigen and makes antibodies specific to the virus. Makes intruders larger so its easier for macrophages to see.

Memory B Cells

Remember foreign antigens SHORT term.

Memory T Cells

Remember foreign anitgens LONG term.

Killer T Cells

Spot foreign particles on cells and attach themselves to release lymphotoxin which cause cell lysis (breakdown)


Suppresser T Cells

Turn off immune system
