Prior to 1940s high rise floors were relatively small. Normal fire load 8000 BTUs. Modern High Rises are 75% lighter and can generate as much as 2.5 times the BTUs.

Occupants in immediate fire area should first be evacuated to 3 floors below the fire floor or safe environment. Utilize Police to assist in controlling evacuees in the Lobby & preventing re-entry |
