Do you have experience working on multiple projects at once?

I do have experience working with multiple projects at once like in my last project, I always try to have a to do list in work. I assign low, mid, or high priority to each task on the list–not to the entire project. And then I work accordingly–taking care of the tasks with highest priority first, regardless of the project they belong to. Of course if I got a call from a manager or a specific deadline was set for me to deliver some report or analysis, I prioritized it to other tasks to ensure I’d meet the deadline. In my opinion, the most important thing is to have a meaningful system in your work, something you can rely on when you aren’t sure what to do next. That’s what I always try to do.

Tell me about a time you have deadline with a challenging situation at work?

Situation: Once, we realized three days before a project deadline that two of our teams were using incompatible software tools.

Task: As the member of sprint, I had to find a way to deal with this without causing any delays.

Action: I talked to both team leaders, and we made a plan for one team to convert their work into a different format. With help from some staff other department.

Result: It was very close, but we managed to get everyone done it on time.

What is your leadership style?

First of all, I'm quite a hands-off manager. For instance, if one of my team has a project, I'll keep an eye on things, but I don’t need to involve in every detail. I'm also very approachable, in that I make sure my team know they come to me with problems or questions at any time. Finally, I like to lead from the front. That means that if every one's working late to meet deadline, I make sure I'm there with them.

• In my last job, I was responsible for supervising a team of five, including managing their schedules, training them, and mentoring them. I enjoy leadership and am proud to say that two of these five people were promoted while I was mentoring them. In my job before that, I supervised a team of three designers on certain projects. I wasn’t their direct manager, but they reported to me for the projects I led. So, I have a mix of project management experience from that role and direct management experience from my most recent job. I enjoy both.

What are your weaknesses?

1. I have difficulty speaking in front of large groups of people. A few months ago, I joined a group to help me improve my skills in that area. Talking in front of people, especially a large group of people, is definitely a weakness that a lot of people have. In fact (ba khande), some researchers say that people have a greater fear of public speaking than death which seems a bit extreme to me, but it also seems safe to say that there is a good chance that this might be your weakness or that it at least triggers some idea of what you can talk about when it comes to weaknesses. I need take a training for that.

2. I sometimes am slower in completing my tasks compared to others because I really want to get things right. I will double or sometimes triple-check documents and files to make sure everything is accurate. I have created a time management system, which allows me to list all duties and organize my deadlines, so I have a clearer idea of what I need to do.

3. I'm very calm, and I can keep a cool head even in very stressful situations.

Please provide an example where you have used your strength in your last job.
