An example are the standing, joint, select, and conference committees. Relates to procedural model of democracy because a group of people are involved in the decision-making process and there is majority rule and responsiveness through each step.

Both parties elect leaders in both chambers who oversee institutional procedures, mange legislation, fundraise, and communicate with the press. Example includes Speaker of the House and majority leader. Obliged to consider the views of his/her constituents but not required to vote based on those views if he/she believes otherwise vs. Primary purpose is to represent the majority view of his/her constituents regardless of their views. Relates to majoritarian democracy because the trustees and delegates represent the majority of the people who could affect their decisions.

Enacted in 2010 to provide insurance to many Americans as possible who are eligible (if 18-25) to stay on their parents' insurance and require that all people have insurance by 2014. Example are young adults who are in college who can't afford insurance but their parents can, which the act assures that they won't be denied access. Relates to procedural model because the act requires universal participation and responsiveness.

Iranian hostage crisis. Install shah to help. Americans establish military base but Iranians revolt. Suddem Hussein outs tears gas on Kurds and gets sentenced to death.
