Where is the E/E compartment?

Behind the nose gear, underside of aircraft.

When the OAT is above 45°F, is the skin heat exchanger operating? Why?

No, Boeing says the weather is too warm for the heat exchanger to work and opened the exhaust overboard valve.

Does the cooling configuration change after 2 engines are started?

Yes, the inboard supply valve closes

AND...

When warmer than 45°F the exhaust valve closes and skin heat exchanger valve opens.

On the ground, when is the inboard supply valve open?

Anytime before 2 engines are started.

When will the NO COOLING light come on?

When E/E cooling is in a non-normal config with OVRD selected and reverse flow cooling is NOT working.

(After 1min inhibit)

What does STBY selection accomplish?

Forces valves to correct configuration electrically for flight and both fans running.

What does OVRD accomplish?

Forces reverse flow config. Opens Smoke and Manifold interconnect, and closes Inboard Supply, Overboard Exhaust, Skin Heat Exchanger Valves, and depowers Supply and Exhaust fans.

When switched to OVRD, how long will the NO COOLING light be inhibited?

1 min

When will the skin heat exchanger valve be open?

-On the ground and OAT is less than 45°F

-Anytime 2 engine running. (In flight logic)

Does the OVRD selection open the manifold interconnect valve?

Yes.
