Natural Hair Color Level

Will vary in appearance with each individual depending on the ratio of eumelanin to pheomelanin, concentration of melanin (density og color), hereditary and environmental factors

Canities

Canities occurs by a gradual or slowing down of melanin production in the cortex of the hair. This reduction of melanin can make the hair appear dull, drab and/or lacking warmth

Acquired Canities

Is when the melanocytes gradually become inactive. Production of melanin is slowed down, turning hair to a gray color that varies in pigment concentration. This typically occurs as the human body ages and/or because of genetics. A primary factor that begins the graying process is heredity
