What are the NEXUS Criteria?
states that cervical spine radiography can be omitted for trauma patients only if they exhibit ALL of the following criteria:
No posterior or midline cervical tenderness
No evidence of intoxication
Normal level of alertness
No focal neurologic deficit
No painful distracting injuries
Parkland Formula for adults
for burn patients

LR 4mL X weight (kg) X %BSA* over initial 24 hrs.

Half over 1st 8 hours from time of burn. Other half over subsequent 16 hours.
