Indications |
Hypoglycemia that cannot be treated with D50 (unable to establish IV) or Glutose (patient has no gag reflex)
-Beta-blocker and calcium channel blocker toxicity. |

Precautions |
Because of its inotropic properties, it can cause problems for patients with cardiovascular, kidney and liver disease. Do not administer as a first line drug unless:
-IV cannot be established for the administration of D50. -The patient cannot safely swallow glutose. |
